Quest devices have been managed on ManageXR since its inception, with six device models supported today – including the latest Meta Quest 3S. What’s changed? Prior to the integration, Quest device enrollment was high touch: it required completion of Meta’s out-of-box device setup, plugging devices into a computer, and completing additional steps to configure ManageXR. Our partnership with Meta will result in a low-touch enrollment process that is faster and more user-friendly, even without any technical know-how. The requirement to plug a device into a computer is eliminated, making it even easier to enroll at scale. Once enrollment is completed, control and gain visibility of next-generation devices at your fingertips, directly in ManageXR.
The benefits go beyond device enrollment, expanding admin controls and enabling a smoother user experience. Access deeper Quest-specific management capabilities: control over sleep settings, PIN-protected device settings, store and social feature restrictions, time zone configuration, and more. Initiating native casting from the device is now streamlined, by eliminating the need to sign in to a managed Meta account. Instead, go to a dedicated casting link and enter the code that appears in the headset to get started. These new options provide greater flexibility for customization, easier troubleshooting, and strengthened deployment security.
